How To Use The Bra Chart?

Plentyofbra has created this bra size chart as a guide to help you find your correct size. The sizes are from 28 to 54 and AA to O bra size.

What is the bra size?

Bra sizes that are the same in volume are often referred to as “sister sizes”. The grey cells in the table below demonstrate how the sizes diagonally adjacent from the top right to the bottom left are the same in breast volume i.e. the same volume of breast tissue spread across different size rib cages (band sizes).


What is the difference between bra size and cup size?

Bra Sizes Explained. Bra size has two measurements ; the band (rib cage) and the cup (bust). Cup size does not represent breast size but instead represents the difference between the rib cage and the bust.


How to figure out sister bra size?

If you don’t have the chart handy, you can work out your sister bra size by going down a band size (or two, or three!) and up a cup size (or two, or three!) and vice versa.


Is cup size half the picture?

We hear from lots of women who have been told that they are a certain cup size, but cup size is only half of the picture.


Do sister sizes really work?

Are bra sister sizes actually accurate? They certainly are! Sister sizes work on the principal of ratios – it’s not sorcery – it’s a bit of math! So 34FF is the same as both 32G and 36F, because you’re adjusting the cup to back ratio. Wear any of the three and A-BRA-CAD-A-BRA – all three have the same amount space in the cups. (OK, we agree it is a bit magic!).


How to determine your sister bra size?

To determine your bra sister size, move your current “number” (band size) and “letter” (cup size) by one unit in opposite directions. For example, if your wear 34C, you can also it a 36B or a 32D.


How to measure ribcage?

Exhale thoroughly, and wrap the measuring tape around your ribcage under your bust. The tape should be parallel to the ground. Round the measurement to the nearest whole number


Do sister sizes work for all women?

Although sister sizes are not guaranteed to work for all women, as we have different bust contours and body build, they are guaranteed to offer a more convenient and practical alternative to many.

Move left or right within the row if your band doesn’t fit. 2 The cup size increases as you move from top to bottom on the chart. Move up or down the columns if your cups don’t fit. How to change bra cup size?

Starting on your current bra size, move to the left of the bra size chart for a smaller band and then move up to decrease the cup size. The cups and band are both too small: Go up in the band and the cups. Starting on your current bra size, move to the right of the bra size chart for a bigger band and then move down to increase the cup size.


How should a bra band feel?

Band: The band should feel snug and comfortable on the loosest set of hooks. This allows you to move to the inner hooks to tighten the bra as it stretches with regular wear. The band should be parallel to the floor and should not ride up.
